Land of Opportunity
LET’S USE AMERICA’S ECONOMIC BLUEPRINT FOR BRITAIN
Britain needs a new direction.
A new economic vision.
Britain needs its American Dream.
Britain’s economy is stagnating after years of our entrepreneurial spirit being crushed. Too many small businesses are left unable to grow, meaning just 1% of businesses are responsible for over 11% of our productivity, and 71% of Brits who have considered becoming entrepreneurs are likely to be persuaded to do so.
Why? A lethal cocktail of over-regulation, high taxation, a crippling fear of failure, a lethargic economy, and poor access to finance. All these factors suggest to wannabe and current entrepreneurs that Britain is not open for business.
To start to reverse this downward trend, we only have to look across the Atlantic for inspiration. America’s economy is now 50% bigger than it was in 2018 (compared to UK/EU which has remained the same), and in 2022, over 5 million new businesses were registered.
America has a culture that promotes risk-taking and innovation, dominates global venture capital funding, and puts successful business leaders as role models. The Land of Opportunity was set up to bring that economic blueprint to Britain.
Join The Land of Opportunity in giving Britain its American Dream.

Land of Opportunity, Andrew Barclay, Campaign Founder

Andrew Barclay founded YOPA, an online estate agency a decade ago and sold the business in 2022. He is now an angel investor, director and shareholder in other start ups, including Kitt – a property tech venture.
Andrew experienced first hand how difficult it is to overcome the hurdles that stand in the way of every British entrepreneur – from over burdensome regulations to high tax rates. But he also witnessed the power that free enterprise has to transform people’s lives, especially those who have never run a business before.
